STRUCTURAL DESIGN OF WATER PARK TOWER

Project Brief

This case study showcases the structural design process for a 12-meter water park tower, featuring railings, staircases, and slides at various elevations. The design was executed to meet safety and performance standards. We used STAAD.Pro for structural analysis and SolidWorks for 3D modeling.

CHALLENGES AND OBJECTIVES

The client required a structurally sound design for a water park tower with specific height and component specifications. The key challenge was to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the tower, considering the dynamic loads imposed by water slides and human activity.

METHODOLOGY (SOLUTIONS IMPLEMENTED)

1.Identified and calculated live, dead, and wind loads.
2.Performed structural analysis using FEA to adjust design parameters.
3.Finalized beam sections and other structural elements based on the analysis results.
4.Created a 3D model , incorporating the finalized design details.
5.Documented the entire design process, including loading calculations and design details, for future reference and compliance.

BENEFITS (RESULTS ACHIEVED)

Through the implemented solutions, the team achieved a structurally sound design that met all safety requirements. The project resulted in a safe and visually appealing water park tower

SUMMARY OF PROJECT

The integration of load analysis in New Product Development has resulted in a comprehensive and efficient process for developing a structurally sound water park tower. The collaborative use of advanced tools demonstrates a commitment to precision, efficiency, and excellence in structural engineering.
